1. What is/are the required fees for filling out the application form?
The fee structure  is as follows:

The fee is to be paid by Internet Banking/ Online Payment System (Can we provide a link here?) and you do not have to submit a hard copy of the application. Applications submitted without online payment details will not be considered.
Note: APPLICATION FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE.

2. My last semester results have not yet been declared. What to fill in the aggregate % field?
Select the 'Result Awaited' option and enter your aggregate percentage up to the current semester without mentioning individual marks. Your admission will be provisional, pending the final examination results and meeting the required overall percentage.

3. Who should I contact to inquire about the shortlisting criteria, interview date, and results of selected candidates?             OR
Alternatively, whom should I reach out to if I do not receive any emails regarding the written test, interview, or final offer?

Visit the link http://www.iitb.ac.in/newacadhome/mpp.jsp periodically for updates on shortlisting criteria, results, and important announcements.
Selected candidates will receive an offer letter via email or SMS and can check their status by logging into the ONLINE portal. If not selected, their status will remain as 'NOT Offered'.

4. I made a mistake while filling out the option application form. What should I do?
You can correct any mistakes or make changes to the "finally submitted application" by clicking the "Unfreeze Application" link before the application deadline.
Once you click "Unfreeze Application," your application will be treated as a Draft/Unsubmitted Application, allowing you to make changes.
Please note that your application will not be considered for further processing if you do not submit it finally, even if it is complete and you have paid the application fee.

5. I am not able to submit the form "Finally". What shall I do? OR
I am facing difficulty while filling up the application form. What should I do?

Please read the instructions given for filling out the application form carefully.
You need to upload documents in their original file types (jpeg, jpg, png, PDF). Ensure that file names for different documents are unique and avoid using null characters (e.g., spaces, slashes) or copying and pasting sentences from Word documents while filling out the application form.
If you encounter issues, please click the "REPORT PROBLEM" button on the online application portal and wait for a response from the Technical Team, which will be provided within 24 hours.
If you do not receive a reply within 2 working days via the online portal or email, send an email with your Application ID, Registration Number, and a screenshot of the problem to phd_unit5@iitb.ac.in with the subject "Problem reported but not yet solved."
If you still do not receive a response within 2 working days, email dracad@iitb.ac.in with the subject "Problem reported but not yet solved."

6. I am an OBC-NC candidate but I do not have the latest OBC-NC certificate. What should I do?
If you do not have the OBC-NC Certificate in the required format, you may apply with your old certificate. However, you must submit the updated OBC-NC Certificate at the time of admission if selected. Please note that failure to provide the latest OBC-NC certificate will result in the cancellation or withdrawal of your admission offer if selected.

7. I am an Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidate, but I do not have the latest EWS certificate. What should I do?
Candidates must submit an EWS certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the prescribed format. Please note that failure to provide the latest EWS certificate will result in the cancellation or withdrawal of your admission offer if selected.

8. I am in the Persons with Disability (PwD) category and have completed all the formalities. I was selected for the subsequent round of the written test and/or interview but have not received any communication.
PwD candidates will be considered only if they have at least 40% permanent physical disability.
Selected candidates will receive an offer letter via email or SMS and can check their status by logging into the ONLINE portal. If not selected, their status will remain as 'NOT Offered'.
Additionally, the 5% PwD reservation (one seat in MPP Programmes) will be horizontal, meaning PwD candidates will occupy seats within their birth category quota. If no PwD candidates are selected, the seats will be filled according to the birth category quota.

9. Should I upload the consolidated mark sheet, the final semester mark sheet, the 7th and 8th semester mark sheets, the degree certificate, or the convocation certificate?
You may upload any available documents. If selected, you must submit attested copies of the qualifying degree certificate, provisional degree certificate, and final transcripts/mark sheets by the document submission deadline stated in the Information Brochure. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of your admission.

10. I have a degree from a foreign university. Will it be considered for admission at IIT Bombay?
You need to submit an "Equivalence Certificate" from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi, for the qualifying exam, along with proof of having obtained at least a First Class or 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) or equivalent in the qualifying examination.

11. I have applied for admission to the MPP program but have not been shortlisted for the written test and/or interview, nor have I received any call letter for these.
The decision to conduct a written test or interview is based on several factors, including eligibility and the minimum marks required by academic units for selection. Please note that merely applying or receiving a call letter does not guarantee admission.

12. What happens if I am unable to submit all required documents before paying the admission fees?
If you are unable to submit the required documents by the deadline, your admission may be canceled.

13. Is there a possibility of rescheduling the MPP admission interview dates?
PG admission dates cannot be rescheduled. For more details, please regularly check the IIT Bombay web page: http://www.iitb.ac.in/newacadhome/mpp.jsp.

14. I have paid the application/admission fee, and the amount has been deducted from my account, but the status still shows 'Pending.' What should I do?
If the amount has already been deducted, do not make another payment. Wait for 2 to 3 days, as the reconciliation process typically takes this long to confirm the payment.

15. have paid the application/admission fee twice. What should I do?
To request a refund for the additional amount paid, please email phd_unit5@iitb.ac.in with your transaction details, name, and applicant ID.

16. I need to change the details in my application form after the application deadline.
No changes are allowed after the application deadline. Once submitted, the application is considered "FINAL."

No changes are allowed after the last date of application. Application once submitted is "FINAL".
