The Academic Rehabilitation Programme (ARP) deals with students with poor performance in academics. It acts as a buffer for such students and provides them with an opportunity to continue in the institute and successfully complete their respective degrees. A student is transferred to ARP on receiving FR/DX grades for at least 36 credits in core courses. A faculty member in each department, called the ARP Faculty Adviser, will assist students of that department to register for courses manually, for a maximum of 24 credits.
A student, who is able to reduce the total number of FR/DX credits to less than 36 as above is transferred back to being a regular student. On failure to exit the ARP after three consecutive semesters in the programme, termination of registration from the programme may be recommended.
