Admission for M. Tech./ M.Tech. + Doctor of Philosophy (Dual Degree) (2026-27) - Autumn Semester

The Institute offers Master of Technology programmes across various disciplines. These programmes aim to provide students with advanced theoretical, practical and research oriented knowledge to address complex design and development challenges in industry, as well as to pursue further academic research. To achieve this, the Programme structure offers flexibility in coursework and thesis projects.

The entrance test for the M.Tech. program is GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering).
 

Applicants applying for Teaching Assistantship (TA)/ Teaching Assistantship through Project (TAP)/Research Assistantship (RA)/Research Assistantship through Project (RAP) categories need to "Register" on the Common Offer Acceptance Portal COAP. The admission offers will be made via COAP. (IIT Roorkee is the organizing institute for 2026-27 admissions, The COAP portal is open now^.

Admissions are possible in full-time or part-time.
