1. What is/are the required fees for filling out the application form?

Fees can be paid via SBI Internet Banking/Online Payment System. No need to submit a hard copy of the application. Applications without online payment details won't be considered. 
Note: APPLICATION FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE.

2. My last semester results have not yet been declared. What should I fill in the aggregate % field?
Select the option 'Result Awaited'. Do not mention the marks. Fill in the aggregate % up to the current semester. Admission will be provisional, subject to securing the required percentage after the final examination.

3. With one application fee, how many departments can I apply to?
You need to fill out a separate form and pay the fee for each stream if you want to apply to more than one.

4. Whom should I contact to find out the shortlisting criteria, date of interview, or selection results?
Regularly check the link IIT Bombay M.Des for updates on shortlisting criteria, results, and announcements. Selected candidates will receive offer letters via email/SMS and can also check their status on the online portal.

5. I made a mistake while filling out the application form. What should I do?
You can correct mistakes or make changes by clicking on the 'UnFreeze Application' link before the last date. After clicking, your application will be treated as Draft/Unsubmitted, allowing you to make changes. Ensure you submit the application finally, or it won't be considered for processing.

6. I am unable to submit the form finally, or I'm facing difficulty while filling out the form. What should I do?
Read the instructions carefully, upload documents in the original file type (jpeg, jpg, png, PDF), and ensure file names are unique. Avoid using null characters or copying/pasting text from Word documents. If problems persist, click "REPORT PROBLEM" on the online application portal and wait for a reply within 24 hours. If you don't receive a reply within two working days, email office.idc@iitb.ac.in with your Application ID and a screenshot of the issue. If still unresolved, email dracad@iitb.ac.in or pgadm@iitb.ac.in.

7. I am an OBC-NC candidate but don't have the latest OBC-NC certificate. What should I do?
You can apply with an old certificate but must submit the new OBC-NC Certificate at the time of admission if selected. Failure to produce the latest certificate will result in cancellation/withdrawal of the admission offer.

8. I am an EWS candidate but don't have the latest EWS certificate. What should I do?
Submit the EWS certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the prescribed format. Failure to produce the latest certificate will result in cancellation/withdrawal of the admission offer.

9. Should I upload the consolidated mark sheet, final semester mark sheet, 7th & 8th-semester mark sheets, or the degree certificate?
You can upload any available documents. If selected, you must submit attested copies of the qualifying degree certificate, provisional degree certificate, and final transcripts/mark sheets by the specified deadline. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of admission.

10. I have a degree from a foreign university. Will it be considered for admission at IIT Bombay?
You must submit an "Equivalence Certificate" from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi, for the qualifying exam and proof of having a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD) equivalent in the qualifying examination.

11. I applied for M.Des. admission but wasn't shortlisted for the Written Test/Interview nor received a Call Letter.
The written test/interview selection is based on various factors like eligibility and minimum marks fixed by academic units. Merely applying or receiving a call letter does not guarantee admission.

12. I am a PwD category candidate and completed all the formalities but didn't receive any communication regarding the next round.
PwD reservations are only for candidates with at least 40% permanent physical disability. Selected candidates are sent offer letters via email/SMS, and they can also check their status on the online portal.

13. What happens if I cannot submit all required documents before paying the admission fees?
Your admission is liable to be canceled if you cannot submit the required documents before the deadline.

14. Is there a chance of rescheduling the M.Des. admission interview dates?
PG admission dates cannot be rescheduled. Check the IIT Bombay webpage regularly for updates.

15. I paid the application fee/admission fee, and the amount was deducted, but the status shows 'Pending.' What should I do?
Do not pay again. Wait for 2-3 days, as the reconciliation process takes time for confirmation.

16. I paid the application/admission fee twice.
Send an email to pgadm@iitb.ac.in with transaction details, your name, and applicant ID for a refund of the additional amount.

17. I want to change the details in the application form after the last date of application.
No changes are allowed after the last date. Once submitted, the application is FINAL.
